Like most writers I draw an enormous amount of inspiration from my environment and you'll find quite a strong Aussie element to most of my stories.
I have a passion for woodwork, kimonos and animals and I love camping, bush walking and horse riding. I'm an outdoors sort of girl who spends far too much time in front of a computer for my liking!
My background is in training and development and over the years I've met some amazing people. Most of the characters in my writing have their origins in the participants I've worked with. Having said that, no one character is a direct representation of any individual - more an amalgam of several people, with a good dollop of creative licence thrown in.
I'm a Capricorn, born on Christmas Day in the Year of the Dog. How boring and conservative is that? However, there must be some other astrological forces at work, because I do love racy romances, something I suspect is entirely at odds with the severely practical Capricorn nature.
